Codey Signs Bill
July 22, 2008 – Senate President and Acting Governor Richard Codey signed three very important bills at a press conference at Saint Barnabas Medical Center. These bills are the New Jersey Hero Act, the Uniform Anatomical Gift Act (UAGA) and the Anatomical Research Recovery Organization Act. This legislation represents a very important milestone for the state of New Jersey and will have a tremendous impact on the number of organs and tissues transplanted and lives saved. NJ Sharing Network would like to thank all of our supporters, volunteers and advocates who championed this bill.

ESPN.com's E-ticket--"Ray of Hope"

NJ Sharing Network is pleased that a collaborative effort with ESPN yeilded two inspirational stories about the gift that is organ donation. First on Monday, Oct. 15, ESPN.com's “E-ticket” presented a story about Jason Ray, the University of North Carolina mascot who died after he was hit by a car during the NCAA men's basketball tournament last March. In addition, the new ESPN magazine program "E:60", aired its own story on Jason Ray as part of its premiere episode. View video below.
